I’m delighted to say that after a long break, Book 11 of Meredith Pink’s Adventures in Egypt is now published and available on Amazon.

The challenge of setting my books in the present day comes when the real life present day gets in the way ! Sometimes as a writer events in one’s own life take over.

The action of my last book (published 2021) was set in late 2018. So, I debated whether to jump forward by a few years with this latest adventure before publishing, bring it a bit more up to date. But it didn’t feel true to Merry & Adam’s timeline. So, I stuck with their life, rather than mine.

This story explores the turbulent years that ended the once-glorious 19th Dynasty of the New Kingdom. Few have heard of Seti II, Siptah, Amenmesses, or the female pharaoh Tausret (or Towosret / Twosert / Tausert – lots of different spellings exist). I took the liberty of imagining the relationships between these protagonists and finding explanations for the key violent events of the time.
